Support the Y
At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. When you give to the YMCA of the East Bay you make a difference.
Since 1879, we’ve been meeting the needs of our community one person a time, one life-changing experience at a time. The Y is the nation’s leading nonprofit for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, and when you give to the Y, you are helping to enhance the welfare of your community and provide a brighter future for many.
The YMCA of the East Bay is all about:
Children in preschool and after-school care gaining the skills and confidence that will make them better students. Boys and girls learning to swim and exploring the great outdoors at the same time that they are learning sound values and skills that will make them caring, responsible adults. Teens learning pride in themselves and encountering the larger world around them. Families sharing adventures and quiet time around a campfire. Men and women of all ages keeping fit and well. Older adults finding companionship and volunteering. We have nine branch locations and two residential camps offering an array of services, 46 childcare centers and an award-winning outdoor environmental education center. Sources for our $30 million annual budget include member and program fees, contributions and government and foundation grants.
We believe in meaningful change
To ensure that all of our neighbors who wish to have a Y experience- regardless of age, income, or background- we count on the generous financial support from donors like you.
Many of the vital community programs and services provided by the Y are not supported by membership dollars—they’re supported by you. Much of our work is fueled by the generosity of neighbors helping neighbors.
When you give to the Y you help provide programs that improve the health and well-being for all of our youth and adults, and allow for our communities to continue to learn, grow and thrive.
