Why Camp Loma Mar?
For more than a hundred years, campers have come to Camp Loma Mar to step into the redwoods, build confidence, and find a true sense of belonging.
As the East Bay’s oldest overnight camp, we’re proud of our history—but what matters most is what happens here each summer: kids trying something new, gaining independence, and discovering what they’re capable of in a supportive community.
Whether it’s a first bullseye in archery, a brave step off the zip line, or a laugh around the campfire, each moment helps campers grow in confidence, form real friendships, and leave more independent and connected.

About Our Camp
Camp Loma Mar is a place where kids build confidence, form real friendships, and feel a true sense of belonging. In the redwoods, campers step away from their everyday routines and into an environment where they can try new things, gain independence, and discover what they’re capable of.
Guided by our core values—caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility—campers learn to support one another, take on new challenges, and celebrate both effort and growth. These values aren’t just words—they shape how campers show up for each other every
day.
Families choose Camp Loma Mar for more than just activities. They choose it because their children leave more confident, more independent, and more connected—to themselves, to others, and to the world around them.
