Position: Maintenance/Housekeeping Team Member

Summary:
 
Under the supervision of the Facilities Director the Maintenance/Housekeeping Team Member will assist with overall facility repairs, equipment maintenance and facility housekeeping.  He or she will ensure safety measures and protocols are followed at all times. The Maintenance/Housekeeping Team Member will perform his or her responsibilities in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA, ACA and county, state and federal regulatory agencies. This is a regular, part-time position.

·Perform maintenance, repair and janitorial/housekeeping duties as directed
·Maintain the facilities, equipment and supplies in a safe and operational manner.
·Be reliable, trustworthy and a team member.
·Be able to follow specific direction, as well as work independently.
·Provides excellent guest service to staff, members, guests, user groups, and partners.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must be 18 years of age or older
  2. Must complete/pass background check.
  3. Knowledge in areas of maintenance, mowing, weed control, painting, construction.
  4. Experience in welding, electrical, controls, plumbing, machine operation, and maintenance procedures desirable.
  5. Must be available for flexible working hours
  6. Enjoys learning new skills and procedures
  7. Ability to relate to the public in a friendly and professional manner
  8. Must have the physical, visual and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job and to respond to any emergency situations that may occur in a camping environment.
  9. This position involves physical activity such as carrying and lifting items up to 50lbs as
    necessary in conducting facility work. Must have the ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain with elevation changes of more than 60 feet.
  10. Must be results oriented and exhibit common sense and sound judgment.
  11. Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and provide and maintain personal automobile insurance.
