Open Positions

Lifeguards at YMCA Camp Loma Mar are responsible for maintaining a safe and fun aquatics program which may include swim lessons, pool use and other assigned water activities. This staff position provides leadership to campers at the pool and fosters development through swim lessons and other aquatic opportunities. The position requires mature judgment, risk management and excellent supervision skills. Lifeguard/swim instructors will be physically fit and maintain a training regimen during employment. Position requires skills in problem solving, behavior management, enthusiasm and self-motivation. Must be currently Red Cross or YMCA certified lifeguard, experience in teaching lessons preferred. Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or YMCA Progressive Swim Instructor a plus.
