Diabetes Program

The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is an innovative lifestyle modification program designed to help those at high risk for developing type 2 diabetes to reduce their risk and gain tools for healthy living. The program focuses on healthy eating, increasing physical activity and losing a modest amount of weight to reduce the risk for type 2 diabetes.

The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is based on the landmark Diabetes Prevention Program led by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is supported by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
