Remember to Bring

Towels 

The Downtown Oakland YMCA offers free towels for all Members, including Hosted Members (2 per person per day).

Lockers 

Day-use lockers are available and members are required to supply their own lock.

Guests

Hosted Members are not permitted to bring guests (individuals who are not active YMCA members) to the facility.

Child Care

Hosted Members are welcome to utilize our Child Watch and Healthy Kids Club for children ages 8 weeks to 12 years at the Program Member rate of $3/hr. Learn more.

Classes, Lessons and Programs 

Hosted Members can enjoy all of the classes and programs included with a regular membership. You can register for fee-based programs (ex: swim lessons, personal training, camp, etc.) at the program member rate.

Youth & Teens 

Youth and teens ages 13-17 who have an active facility membership at their Home Y are welcome as long as they are accompanied by their Parent/Guardian who is an active member and must remain in the facility while the youth/teen is present.

When visiting Fremont/Newark YMCA


Remember to Bring

Towels & Lockers

Fremont/Newark YMCA does not have towel service or lockers. Please bring your own towel and be prepared to keep your belongings with you.

Hilltop Family YMCA charges $3 per towel. You are also welcome to bring your own towel.

Lockers

Hosted Members are not permitted to bring guests (individuals who are not active YMCA members) to the facility.

Hosted Members are not eligible to access our Hilltop Family YMCAs Kids Club at this time.
