Campers in Leadership Training (CILT) · Camp Ravencliff
Our CILT Program
Campers In Leadership Training (CILTs) are teens entering 10-12 grade in the fall who want to improve their leadership skills, take on responsibilities, and participate in a program with their peers. The CILT Program is a unique YMCA program that focuses on enhancing and developing valuable leadership skills in an environment that is fun, safe and values-oriented.
CILTs are at camp for two weeks and receive hands-on experience through interactive training, the opportunity to help lead a small group of younger children, and engage in trust- and team-building activities with their peers. The CILT program is for teens who are looking for a fun and challenging way to spend part of their summer while gaining valuable leadership skills.
2017 Session Dates
CILT Session 1: July 2-16
CILT Session 2: July 16-30
How do I become a CILT?
Please fill out an application and three reference forms and return them to the YMCA. References should be persons who have known you for at least two years and have had an opportunity to witness your interaction with peers and/or children. References may not be relatives. Prior CILTs may only submit one reference from camp staff. CILT applications are evaluated on the basis of content of application and references. An interview may also be scheduled.
